Nectar
Market maker centric hybrid order book DEX
The problem Nectar solves
Trading volumes of DEXs are merely 10% of trading volumes of CEXs because DEXs are not market maker friendly. They are inefficient to make yields due to:
- high and unpredictable gas fees
- larger slippages and Impermanent Loss
- MEV attack
- high latency
- learning curve for AMM
We addressed the problems to onboard more traders on-chain. We redesigned the DEX architecture from the ground rather than forking and copying another AMM.
We offer programmable order books on top of Account Abstraction architecture. Nectar brings efficient CEX features like - order books, candle charts and APIs. Also, the latency is as fast as CEXs.
It looks like CEX but we keep it non custodial for custody security.
This is the next-gen crypto trading.
Challenges we ran into
When I didn't set gas limit for a user operation (Account Abstraction), it tried to estimate by asking to RPC nodes but it returned error. It was challenging to find out what was the problem because the RPC node responeded without specific error message. It took me a while to find out what was the problem.
At the end, I set gas limit manually for every user operation and it solved the problem. I found that the infra needed to provide a better response with detailed information.
