The problem Nature Intelligence solves
Environmental management needs to turn observed territorial changes into signals that can be reviewed and supported by evidence. Nature Intelligence combines the official Parque Tayrona polygon, Sentinel-2/NDVI observations, and typed alerts to identify possible changes in vegetation, land pressure, or coverage. The result is a human-readable workflow: territory → observation → alert → validation → evidence, without presenting a satellite signal as an automatic conclusion.
Challenges I ran into
The main challenge was connecting an external geospatial source to a verifiable product experience prepared for blockchain. We addressed this by separating the official GeoJSON asset and its digest, the Copernicus data adapter, alert classification, and the evidence passport. We also kept the MVP boundary explicit: alerts are signals for human review, while the HSK deployment and a real EnvironmentalAlertStarted receipt now provide the anchor for the Tayrona pilot. The receipt records references and digests; it does not claim confirmed deforestation or illegal activity.
