NATECIN

Your final safeguard for crypto assets.

The problem NATECIN solves

Managing digital assets on the blockchain becomes extremely complicated when the owner passes away. Because blockchain is non-custodial, decentralized, and secured by private keys, there is no traditional way to transfer ownership without compromising security. This creates a massive problem:

  • Families cannot access the assets.
  • Private keys cannot be safely shared.
  • Digital wealth worth millions can vanish forever.
  • Estate planning for crypto is almost nonexistent.

NATECIN solves this by providing a secure, automated, and non-custodial inheritance system. With activity-based vault monitoring and smart contract logic, people can:

  • Ensure their digital assets do not disappear when they die.
  • Transfer assets automatically to heirs without revealing private keys.
  • Set beneficiaries and allocation rules in advance.
  • Maintain full ownership and control while alive.
  • Avoid unsafe methods like writing seed phrases on paper or trusting centralized services.

NATECIN makes crypto inheritance safer, easier, and fully aligned with blockchain security principles.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Designing a Non-Custodial Inheritance System
Creating an inheritance flow without ever touching private keys was extremely difficult. Most solutions indirectly rely on custodial methods, which we refused to use.

How we solved it:

  • We built an activity-based trigger system integrated with GitHub Actions to monitor vault activity. If the user does not reset the “alive signal” within a certain period, the vault initiates a predetermined asset transfer flow.
  1. Smart Contract Logic for Conditional Transfers
  • Implementing “IF DEAD → transfer; IF ALIVE → reset” is not a common contract pattern and required clean logic to avoid false triggers.

How we solved it:
We used a time-lock mechanism combined with user-triggered heartbeats to ensure transfers only happen when all conditions are met.

  1. Security vs. Automation Balance
Making the system automated without introducing any centralized points of failure was a major balancing act.

How we solved it:
The entire process remains on-chain and transparent, with no private key exposure, keeping the user fully in control at all times.

  1. Preventing Exploit Abuse
We needed to ensure heirs cannot trigger transfers prematurely.

How we solved it:
Only the owner can reset the vault timer. Heirs have zero authority until the contract itself declares the owner “inactive.”
