A ledger of your 'I told you so'
The problem Nash solves
Have you ever had a banter with your friends about whether a certain individual will bathe in the next week? No? Boring... but we have and there is really no well defined platform where we can mark our words in stone(or here, in code).
Nash does just that, it acts as a platform where you can make bets within your friend groups on any topic of your choosing.
Nash is a platform which gamifies your gossiping experience with your friends, be it on politics, sports, or just casual banter, bet on it all.
The stakes increase with the introduction of in-app currency Nash coins which while not having any value of its own buys you something money cant, and that is respect
Challenges we ran into
We ran into multiple challenges throughout the project, the major ones being :
- Hosting the server
- Constructing the DB tables in accordance with planned DB schema
- Integrating the custom built server with frontend (biggest challenge on backend)
- Live graph and live chat using web sockets
- Setting authentication flow in the frontend
- Writing efficient code while following the rules of Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Managing time efficiently while maintaining productivity
- Testing the server on Postman was painstakingly slow
- Commitment Issues
- Merge Conflicts
