The problem MyDonate solves

MyDonate is a fundraising platform that seeks to create and contribute to the giving layer of the internet with blockchain technology: a community where all individuals, organisations, and nonprofits can champion causes that are of societal concern and raise funds in cryptocurrency to make a change (for example, the Russia invasion of Ukraine has affected citizens in Ukraine to have access to funds to go about their daily activities due to the closure of most financial institutions, with MyDonate, we believe it can be of help to people in Ukraine to get access to funds from people across the world and use those funds to go about their daily activities). With MyDonate, everyone has access to the resources they need to raise money, spread the word about their cause, and harness the power of generosity thanks to our use of blockchain technology. All platform actions are blockchain-based, making them transparent to users. We are taking this action because blockchain is a proven solution for data security in the modern world.

MyDonate will become the new innovative force of the giving layer of the internet through cryptocurrency funding sources: contributions made by all individuals, organisations, and nonprofits interested in the societal developments.

We actually updated the project during the hackathon period. During the hackathon, we changed testnet, fixed bugs to make the app run faster, performed optimization on the code for scalability.
The former video was used for experimental purpose.

For testing purposes, use Mantle Testnet.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with getting testnet faucets for deploying the smart contract. We followed a couple of videos but was not helping. It was later we got a resouce that was helpful for the smart contract deployment and testing of the platform. Most images we uploaded on the platform was not working so we had to check the IPFS configuration.
We had issues with stable internet connectivity which made it difficult for speeding up the development of the platform.
