The problem Mumbai Mitra solves
Mumbai, one of the most densely populated cities in the
world, faces a growing urban health crisis. Seasonal monsoon
diseases like dengue and malaria spread rapidly, air pollution
often exceeds dangerous levels (AQI > 300), and mental
health issues in slums remain unaddressed. Vulnerable
groups, including the elderly, children, and low-income
residents, are at heightened risk, especially during extreme
weather events like floods and heatwaves. Lack of
awareness and real-time information exacerbates the
situation.
We solve this by providing an adaptive, AI-powered
assistant that keeps individuals informed about their
local health risks, empowering them to take preventive
action.
Challenges we ran into
Since it was our one of the ifrst time building an actual real time wroking project we did ran into a few hurdles, these hurdles weren't there because of the difficulty of the solution being implemented, but instead it was us not being too knowledged about the fresh tools we jumped into. The overall experience was filled with learning technologies from the ground zero and deeloping the skills of brain storming and problem solving even when you are not an expert.
