These days there has been a rise in the number of students who take financial aid for a class and fail to utilise it. Aside from that there is a really low MOOC completion rates. So our solutions aims to bridge the gap between this by providing an incentivised solution for both increasing the MOOC completion rate and even helping the MOOC platforms reduce the number who students who take financial aid to never really return. Also it helps the financially poor people to unlock premium courses just by completing a lot of basic courses
Students can form groups and join to complete amongst them to complete a MOOC ina certain deadline. Everyone puts in some amount of the ERC-20 token when they decide to joina a room and take up a challenge. Finally when the deadline is passed athe collected ERC-20 token is disbursed between the people who successfully completed the MOOC's . Aside from this there are several rewards such as completion reward. And finally these ERC-20 tokens can be used to unlock premium courses on our partner MOOC websites.
There were a lot of challenging tasks right from building the extension to integrating it with our backend services and finally also integrating our backend services which included of both Solidity and Express code. Also, another part that was tough was actually getting the data from the MOOC websites as they don't have any API's allowing to track a persons progress. So tracking their progress and integrating all of this to bring the transactions of ERC-20 to the frontend was a huge task to do.
