"Smart Moves, Big Wins: MoneyWise Adventure" where finance meets fun.

The problem MoneyWise solves

Across various demographics and geographic regions, there exists a pervasive lack of financial literacy, characterized by insufficient knowledge and understanding of fundamental financial concepts, such as budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, and retirement planning.

According to an S&P survey, more than 75% of Indian adults do not adequately understand basic financial concepts. It’s even worse when it comes to women. More than 80% of women are financially illiterate.

People often find it challenging to stick to their financial goals and make informed spending decisions which will affect the economic growth of the country.

Therefore, when we have designed a game where people run into finacial challenges that they might face in the real world.

Challenges we ran into

We initially opted to develop a game application using Unity, but as all team members were new to Unity, we faced time constraints and struggled to grasp its functionalities.

Additionally, being unfamiliar with JavaScript posed challenges related to syntax. Creating animations in CSS also proved to be challenging.

Generating diverse scenarios and situations to enhance economic growth and financial literacy posed a further challenge for us.
