The problem MoneyMint solves
Our Carbon Footprint Analysis Tool simplifies tracking your carbon emissions by allowing users to upload bills for automatic data extraction through advanced OCR technology. It generates personalized suggestions for reducing emissions and provides detailed reports to help identify areas for improvement. With its user-friendly interface and time-saving automation, the tool makes eco-friendly practices accessible and efficient, empowering everyone to contribute to a greener future.
Challenges we ran into
During the development of the Carbon Footprint Analysis Tool, we encountered a specific hurdle while integrating the AI model, particularly regarding currency symbol conversion and large calculations. The AI struggled to accurately interpret and convert various currency signs in the extracted text, which led to discrepancies in the resulting data. To overcome this issue, we implemented a preprocessing step that standardizes currency symbols before feeding the data into the AI model. Additionally, we optimized our calculation algorithms to handle larger datasets efficiently, ensuring accurate carbon footprint calculations without performance lags. This approach significantly improved the tool's reliability and usability.
