The problem MoneyMinded solves

MoneyMinded makes learning financial literacy fun and engaging in an interactive manner. Learn various topics via courses, quizzes and games which would make you earn virtual currency after completing each course. This virtual currency can be used to invest in dummy stocks which are based on real life stock market share prices and thus helping them learn basics of investment and also understand the the concept of opportunity cost and risk-reward ratio as they buy and sell these dummy stocks helping them to become smart investors in the future. The more virtual currency you get the higher you would rank in a leaderboard thus giving people more incentive to complete and learn from the courses.

Challenges we ran into

We needed to figure out a way to educate people while also making it fun to do so, something that required a lot of brainstorming on our end.
To build out our market in which users can trade in dummy stocks we needed a stocks api that would help in fulfilling our needs by giving us real time market data, we ended up finding one which was working well and easy to implement.
