To help the community extend Base across different applications, especially with a focus on simple content monetization.

What challenges are you focusing on?

The subscription model is complicated in Web2 and Web3.
Because paying for content that is consumed only in specific periods can be expensive if the investment (for users) is not well used (the subscription is not used as much), and because Web3 protocols do not adapt to Web 2.0 (social networks, news, and more).
In this context, content creators want to keep their creations (documents, multimedia, etc.) on their own platforms (they can be centralized too), but monetize them and earn income immediately without intermediaries or expensive paywalls, that's where Web3 can help, through a process for users to pay for what they see, generating an "engage to earn" model, since creators must stay updated to encourage users to consume.

Monetizado is an on-chain pay-per-view platform that allows you to monetize any web page and static content (if you don't have access to the backend to make changes) through Web3.
With Monetizado, you can implement it on news sites, social networks, exclusive content portals, and more. You could also use it to incentivize users to pay not to see advertising on your sites.

Monetizado allows you to:

• Specify protected content with a specific amount that users must pay to access.
• Review the protected content you have created.
• To your followers/users, pay to see your content.
• Check if a user has access to your content.
• Change the cost of access to content if required.
• Unprotect the content (if you want to release it to everyone for some time).
• Withdraw the money collected for your content.

How does your submission address this challenge?

Monetized, as an on-chain monetization platform, can be a great catalyst for Web2 content creators, and for users who want to pay only for what they consume, representing a business opportunity to improve the experience and content created.

Challenges I ran into

Regarding the platform, I had to come up with a way to simplify the monetization process and reduce the complexity for content creators to implement it, which is why I used a format similar to a Web standard, called WebMonetization which is very fluid for it: https://webmonetization.org/
