The problem #MomStrong solves
Often, single mothers struggle with managing finances, parenting, mental health, and even career development because of lack of integrated structures and services. This is where “MomStrong” comes in by providing:
Legal Aid, information about upcoming and ongoing givernment schemes for them and also parenting tips
Job opportunities, childcare, inclusive financial planning and even affordable and accessible work opportunities.
Support for mental health, parenting, and a whole community to support them as well.
Support for effective changes such as skill building, and personal and professional development through courses and mentorship.
Emergency SOS alarms that'll help them get to their closed ones immediately and easily whenever in need
Challenges we ran into
Collating and classifying various resources providing the informations such as legal services, childcare and mental health
Providing all of these functions such as legal aid, health, safety, finances and skill developemnt into a single accessible interface.
Making sure that the app remains usable as the number of users and information grows.
Ensuring a secure inclusive online space for mothers to connect and share.
Using AI to provide recommendations for employment, mental health, and skills geared towards.
