The problem MOFA.ar: A Magic Realverse solves

MOFA is an immersive augmented reality live-action roleplaying massive multiplayer game that allows players to become wizards and enter the magic realverse, which is a magical dimension layered on top of the real world, which players can only see using a smartphone AR or AR headset HoloKit.

In MOFA, players can collect geolocation-based magic items in the real world, forge and grow magic items, cast magic spells to fight against monsters and other wizards, and trade with their magic items. The game features a range of exciting gameplay options, including dragon hunting, wizard dueling, and ghost busting, providing players with a diverse and engaging experience.

Why Flow Blockchain?

In MOFA, players can own, grow, and trade their magic items through dynamic NFTs stored on the blockchain. These assets, including magic items and spells, reflect the item's history, how it was collected, grown, and used in battles for experience points. Unlike traditional dynamic NFTs based on Ethereum, Flow offers fast and cost-effective transaction costs, allowing the entire history of in-game happenings, like wizard dueling, to be recorded in real-time in the metadata of magic items and spells on the Flow blockchain. This creates a secure and accurate gaming asset recording for players, ensuring that their assets are accurately tracked and accounted for, giving them their true value.

In addition, MOFA's walletless onboarding feature makes it accessible to a broader audience, with the potential to bring mainstream users into the world's first holographically interactive and immersive NFT-based game. What sets MOFA apart from other games is its unique combination of gameplay and blockchain technology, creating a truly one-of-a-kind gaming experience that players won't find anywhere else.

Challenges we ran into

  • Understanding the Flow of Smart contract
    We implement the basic dynamic NFT system on Flow Chain.
  • Work with Flow Unity SDK
    We make it work on the emulator.
  • Hybrid Custody
    We do not have enough time to solve Social Login using Hybrid Custody of Flow Blockchain.
