Mintbash is a no-code solution for customizable NFTs on Base, Optimism, Zora chain, and more.

The problem Mintbash solves

Mintbash is the first no-code NFT platform to support customized mints on the Superchain. Mintbash will ultimately support a variety of mint experiences, but the flagship product of our MVP is our "Custom Editions" tool. With Custom Editions, creators upload traits as they would for a generative collection, but users collectors mint from an interactive drop page where they can personalize their mint. Where creators would previously have had to contract a white label development studio for this, Mintbash makes it easy. Artists simply upload their assets, design their drop page, and share it with collectors. Mintbash is free for project creators, charging a nominal client side fee (~1 dollar in Eth.) Mintbash also supports "shuffled editions," where minters can reroll their NFT until they find a combination they want to mint.
We see a broad range of use cases for Mintbash, specifically the Custom Edition tool. Mintbash could be used as the avatar creation page for a blockchain game, a custom ID generator for DAO members, or a CC0 asset remixer. We are exploring integrating platforms like Shopify for customization of RWAs, letting collectors customize print-on-demand merch to accompany their mint.
We believe that regardless of their speculative status, NFTs have proven their value as a means of digital self expression and brand cultivation. With incentivized bidding reducing the importance of trait rarity, NFTs are less about flipping and more about showcasing identity, style, and community membership. We need an NFT minting flow that reflects this--instead of floors and rares, every minter gets exactly what they want. The Mintbash UI offers a familiar and engaging experience for web3 diehards and newcomers alike, all of whom will have created a Mii, Memoji, or Runescape avatar well before they encountered NFTs. Given this, we believe Mintbash will be a perfect app to bring new participants onchain.

Challenges I ran into

We required a fast way to check on the backend whether tokens with arrays of attributes were already minted without abusing our RPC node endpoint. To solve this, we created a daemon process that continuously monitors the chain for new mints and saves their attribute data in a compacy binary representation in our database. This allowed us to quickly retrieve the minted token data without repeatedly querying this data onchain and with much faster response times.
