Challenges we ran into

During the development of the MINTales project, We encountered several challenges that required problem-solving and adapting to overcome. The challenges we faced include:

Loading Dalle2 images to the React application:
Integrating Dalle2 images into the React application was not a straightforward process. To display these images, we had to convert them into base64 JSON format and then convert them back into images in the application. This required finding the appropriate libraries and implementing the necessary conversion logic to ensure the images were correctly displayed.

ExampleNFT referencing issues:
While working on ExampleNFT provided on the FLOW GitHub repository, we encountered challenges related to referencing and linking various components. Specifically, we faced difficulties in properly referencing the view resolver and ensuring the contract was able to mint NFTs without any issues. To resolve these issues, we had to make adjustments to the view resolver and make necessary changes to the contract logic to ensure smooth minting of NFTs.

Limitations with the OpenAI API:
Utilizing the OpenAI API for generating unique storylines using AI posed its own set of challenges. we encountered limitations in terms of the number of requests allowed and the response time for generating storylines. These limitations impacted the scalability and real-time responsiveness of the application.

Uploading images to the FLOW blockchain:
One significant challenge I encountered was the inability to directly upload images as strings to the FLOW blockchain. This limitation required me to find an alternative solution for image storage and referencing. To address this challenge, I utilized NFT storage as a workaround. By leveraging NFT storage, I was able to securely store the images associated with the minted NFTs and reference them using unique URLs within the NFT metadata stored on the FLOW blockchain.
