The project aims to reduce air pollution in Mumbai by utilizing customized algorithms like Dijkstra, Fuzzy Logic, and others, along with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in CCTV systems. By leveraging these advanced technologies, the project can provide a comprehensive solution to monitor and analyze the pollution level in different areas of the city in real-time. This system can identify sources of pollution, such as heavy traffic, and offer recommendations on reducing it. Moreover, it can help in detecting and mitigating pollution at its early stage to prevent long-term damage. With this project, we hope to improve the air quality of Mumbai, one drop at a time, and create a cleaner and healthier environment for its residents.
One of the significant challenges we faced during the development of this project was obtaining reliable datasets to track real-time air pollution in Mumbai. Despite utilizing various sources, including Kaggle and official records, we encountered issues with the quality and accuracy of the data. This made it difficult to implement an effective algorithm and AI-powered CCTV system to monitor and mitigate air pollution in the city. However, our team persevered and continued to explore different approaches until we could overcome this challenge and develop a robust solution to improve the air quality of Mumbai.
