The problem Metaguard solves
Crypto scams are everywhere. To increase transparency and safety for web3 users, MetaGuard leverages Metamask Snap's transaction insights feature to provide relevant security information associated with that transaction right before your approval.
We have integrated -
- Spam NFT data from Alchemy and Opensea
- Blacklisted tokens data from public lists
- Source code verification data from various block explorers
- Transaction tracing to simulate how a transaction is actually gonna go through and secure the intermediate steps.
Challenges I ran into
Snaps is a fairly new platform with very limited capabilities. Had to work around not being able to use custom components to show the relevant information.
