Empowering IoT with Blockchain

The problem Metabit solves

Current IoT systems suffer from several problems, including:

Security: Current IoT systems are vulnerable to cyberattacks due to their centralized architecture and lack of robust security measures.

Privacy: Current IoT systems collect and store sensitive personal data, making them vulnerable to privacy breaches and misuse of data.

Interoperability: Current IoT systems are built on different platforms, making it difficult to integrate them and create a seamless network.

Scalability: Current IoT systems are not scalable, as they have limitations on the number of devices they can connect and the amount of data they can process.

On the other hand, Blockchain-based IoT systems can overcome these problems by leveraging the features of Blockchain technology, such as:

Decentralization: Blockchain-based IoT systems eliminate the need for a centralized authority, making it difficult for hackers to exploit the system.

Immutability: Blockchain-based IoT systems provide tamper-proof and auditable records of data, ensuring that data is secure and cannot be altered.

Interoperability: Blockchain-based IoT systems can enable seamless communication and interoperability between devices, platforms, and networks.

Scalability: Blockchain-based IoT systems can handle a large number of devices and data, making them more scalable than traditional IoT systems.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest hurdle that we faced during the development of this app was the method of interaction between the end node and the blockchain. And to solve this a gateway was inserted between them running a listener for handling the events from the smart contract and triggering the nodes. Also, due to the sudden drop our of our frontend engineer the frontend is incomplete.
