Mess Maven
Lets make mess simple...
The problem Mess Maven solves
A system that is transparent , less-laborious and error-free.
- In response to the previously discussed problem statements we
propose the following solution, which we like to call Mess Maven, that
aims to establish an efficient mess management and bill calculation
system. - Through our solution bill calculation for extra food items can be made
much more transparent as students will be able to manage and track
it. - Our app allows the students to pre-order the extra items and can get it
from the mess counter only after showing the confirmation token
recieved. It will reduce the cases of extra items going un-recorded. - Students will be able to select the duration of the mess leave
themselves and option for cancelling a single meal will also be there if
informed 24 hours beforehand, hence need not to rely on mess munim
for it . - As most of the activities like extra food item registration and leave
marking will be done by student’s only, hence it will reduce the work
load of the mess munims making management much more convenient
for them. - As students will be uniquely identified through the our app, the cases
of taking food fraudulently in the name of other students can be easily
tackeled.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges-
1.User interface: The app must have an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that provides users with a seamless experience. Creating a visually appealing interface with easy navigation can be a complex task.
Functionality: The app must have all the necessary features that meet the requirements of the target audience. Mess management apps typically include features like menu planning, meal ordering, billing, and inventory management. Ensuring that all of these functions work together seamlessly can be a challenge.
Security: The app will be handling sensitive user data, such as personal information and payment details, and must be designed with robust security measures to protect this information from unauthorized access or theft.
Maintenance and updates: After launching the app, it must be continuously maintained and updated to keep it up-to-date with the latest technology and user requirements. This includes fixing bugs, adding new features, and improving user experience.
Performance Optimization: The app should be optimized for performance, fast loading speed, and minimal battery consumption to provide a smooth user experience.
Scalability: The app should be designed to handle a large number of users, data, and traffic as the number of users increases.
Data Security: Implementing robust security measures to protect user data, including encryption, firewalls, and secure authentication methods.
