The problem MentorHut solves

Ever since we have stepped in this decade, we have been stripped off of our liberty to interact with people on a more personal level, and it has left a hole in our society. The fact that social media has been the most active than it has ever been and every online community has grown exponentially but the personal touch is lost.
And that is what we are trying to recover with this is initiative. With this project we want to make it easier to find help on a more personal level.
We were only able to think of this project as we both have also struggled in the past to get a sense of what we must do further to achieve our goals.
And that lead us to think of ‘MentorHut’.

Challenges we ran into

We started by using Auth0 api to support the login feature which was made easy by the inbuilt features. After that we moved on to create a backend database to store the fetched user data which we stored in MongoDB. After adding other various features the last feature that we added was the video call feature by using the Agora video call SDK which was a bit difficult to implement as we has to generate token for every meeting and that took us quite some time but in the end we have a first version of the built project in which all the features work as shown in our youtube video.
