The problem MemoryBlock solves
The idea revolved around the process of storing game save files on the blockchain. We sometimes have that minecraft server, valheim world save, or that unique terraria world build we wish to keep around, maybe due to the memories associated with it or time spent with friends. MemoryBlock lets you do that. By leveraging filecoin decentralized storage and NFT like datastructure, you can now create and trade NFT collectibles of your game save files. Moreover, your friends can download and view your game filed and explore the world you have created.
Challenges we ran into
A core challenge encountered was a method to allow NFT like trading on OpenSea while maintaining storage of game save files. For this, we used an ERC721 metadata standard for tradability and created unique identifiers as trait items.
