While AI-generated content is becoming increasingly popular, there’s a lack of seamless integration between AI-driven creativity and secure, on-chain storage. MemeGuard solves this by allowing users to generate memes using AI and securely store them as NFTs in Safe smart accounts, bridging the gap between AI and blockchain.
MemeGuard is a full-stack application that
- Generates memes using AWS Bedrock based on user prompts.
- Mints the memes as NFTs and stores them in the user’s Safe wallet.
- Leverages IPFS for decentralized storage of meme assets.
- Provides a Telegram bot and React app for user interaction.

Challenges I ran into
I initailly faced issues in combining AI-generated content with blockchain transactions required seamless communication between two very different systems. I solved it by building a middleware layer using AWS Lambda to handle the interaction between the AI model and the blockchain. This layer processes the AI output, uploads it to IPFS, and triggers the NFT minting process.
Another approach I want to try was to use Venice.AI APIs for image upscaling and meme generation. However, I encountered a roadblock due to their payment mode requirements, which were not feasible for my project at the time.
This forced me to rethink my approach and find an alternative solution for AI-powered meme generation.
