The problem Melomint solves

Struggling Indie Artists: Independent and emerging artists, who are the backbone of innovation, often face an uphill battle in receiving adequate compensation for their work. Their struggle to sustain a livelihood can lead to talented artists leaving the industry prematurely.

Publishing Roadblocks: Independent artists face significant barriers when trying to publish their music. Complex processes, lack of resources, and limited exposure restrict their ability to reach a broader audience, stifling their artistic growth.

Opaque Revenue Sharing: The traditional music industry lacks transparency in revenue sharing, leaving artists uncertain about their earnings and questioning the fairness of the system. This lack of trust can hamper collaborations and artist-label relationships.

Challenges we ran into

• Making sure that the HD songs are only visible to the subscribed users of the platform.
• Cadence and Flow was a new technology for the team. So had to learn from scratch in the given time period.
• Making the contract in Cadence such that the access control is maintained between the users and maintaing an admin account to change some variables.
