As a social species, we create and flourish connections with others every day, whether it is at an event, through a beach walk or jog, over a coffee chat, etc. New connections are made that spring and bloom into something much more meaningful in the future, or existing connections are reinforced to be cherished. These connections are so important, yet we are not cherishing them the way they should be. Most of them are kept and fade away in our deteriorating memory, where they would be better preserved forever in something permanent like the Base chain. We are trying to solve this problem by imprinting these memories and moments on the blockchain permanently so they can be cherished forever.
For the minting ERC721 contracts, one of the tough decision was to use a sovereign or shared contract. We believe it is better to do a sovereign contract for each user. We believe it gives better on-chain pronenance as well as opening more doors for future engagement mechanics. (Can easily check and rewards for people who met certain someone, pokemon go style to see if you can meet certain people at an event etc). We eventually decided to use a shared contract due to the time constrain of the hackathon.
Another hurdle is the actual NFT metadata. We wanted to create a fun, engaging experiment that marked the meet of two people. We eventually decided to do a classic frame with a google maps and pin showing the 2 pfps of the 2 people and where they meet. In the future, we would also want to put in rewards for creators that create these fun frames with other themes such as BFF meetups, love, anniversaries, meeting a celebrity etc; and have a rewards mechanics that distribute funds to these creators
