I love to go to Hackathons and Meetups but unfortunately, I come from a tier 3 college that does not have many active tech societies. There is a very big communication bridge between the Students and Society. Students in my college do not get exposure to Hackathons, Learning in Public, and Meetups and I'm sure that there are many students like me who face a similar problem. There does not exist a simple platform that allows tier 3 colleges to collaborate with well-established societies of tier 1 colleges where students can come and get to know about the meetups or tech events that are happening near them. So we came up with this tech platform that tries to solve this issue for the student community. Our Platform’s reach does not limit to students only, Organizers and Sponsors are also welcome to collaborate and Create events for students to help them collaborate. There exists a very interesting feature in our platform that can really help organizations to increase collaboration. We provide a request-sending feature between the organization so they can collaborate with each other and can reach out to more students. We will also try to onboard a sponsors panel where organizations can have sponsors for their Events.
It was really difficult for us to design the whole architecture of the website. Initially, we thought of making this project with vanilla JS only but later on, we learned that It will not be scalable in the future if we try to add more features to the website. The UI/UX design part was also challenging for us because we are a team of 3 and none of us are really used to designing that much. We learn many new things while making this project like how to build a scalable MERN app with a fast backend service.
