The problem Meet Decor solves

Inspiration:
During my online classes, I can always see students getting attendance just by joining for 5 minutes and leaving or other students giving their friends attendance.

My project ‘Meet Decor’ solves this problem by automating the attendance calculation time of each student in the meet and taking attendance of students based on a 70% criteria with AI.

Features:
Meet Decor brings a new engaging classroom experience in the online mode.

The meet arena help to interact with lots of students. There is a camera stream, listening stream, screensharing stream and audio stream just like any other online meeting platform.

The facial attendance module, can recognize a person and mark the set of timings against his/her name. The attendace is taken every 15 seconds. The after class module runs the csv file and marks present if and only if the student is present in the session for more than 70% of the entire session. The final csv file is easy and handy in usage.

The Virtual Board helps to draw and present things in a virtual manner. One finger to draw, two fingers to select a wide range of color brushes or an eraser to erase and five fingers to erase the entire board.

Challenges I ran into

Integrating camera into this project was tough. But I was able to learn a ton of OpenCV functions and methods to integrate it.

Integrating face recognition was a massive challenge. Understanding csv was also a challenge. I am working with csv for the first time. It was cool to integrate these features to my project.
