Introducing our efficient app that simplifies medical document organization. Upload prescriptions, bills, and lab reports, and we'll sort them by date for easy reference.
The app provides a digital alternative to the traditional method of storing records in physical files. This makes it easier for users to manage their records without the risk of misplacing them.
The app enables seamless transfer of medical records between hospitals or healthcare providers. When switching to a new hospital or healthcare provider, patients can simply access their records in the MedLog app and share them with the new provider. This ensures continuity of care and reduces the risk of medical errors due to incomplete or inaccurate records.
The app provides a convenient way for users to store and manage their bills, including the ability to access and print them when needed for reimbursement or other purposes.

Challenges we ran into

One possible avenue is to integrate OCR recognition technology, which can extract key values from uploaded records such as prescription or bill images. This can enable automatic categorization and easy retrieval of records, further streamlining the process of managing medical information.
Another possible development is to enable users to upload and display PDF files, in addition to images. Users could upload and view detailed medical reports or documentation and download them as needed. This can be especially useful for sharing medical information with healthcare providers.
Another feature that can be added is the ability to generate a combined PDF of bills sorted by date for healthcare cost reimbursement purposes. This can save users time and effort by automatically compiling all relevant bills and receipts into a single document that can be submitted for reimbursement.
