The problem Medix - Ai Healthcare solves
Healthcare today faces multiple challenges:
Accessibility Issues – Patients struggle to find the right doctors, labs, or hospitals quickly.
Fragmented Services – Health records, prescriptions, lab reports, and appointments are often scattered across different platforms or offline.
Delays in Care – Manual booking, long queues, and lack of real-time updates delay treatment.
Limited Personalization – Patients don’t always get proactive recommendations or tailored health insights.
Communication Gaps – Coordination between patients, doctors, and diagnostic centers is often inefficient.

Challenges we ran into
Challenges Faced in Developing Medix
Integrating Multiple Roles – Managing separate features and flows for Patients, Doctors, and Pathlabs while keeping the UI/UX consistent.
Data Management – Storing and retrieving large volumes of medical data (appointments, prescriptions, reports) securely and efficiently.
Security & Privacy – Ensuring sensitive health data is encrypted and follows compliance standards (HIPAA-like practices).
Real-Time Updates – Implementing appointment slots, cancellations, and notifications that sync instantly without conflicts.
Scalability – Designing the backend so it can handle growing numbers of users, doctors, and reports without performance issues.
AI/ML Integration – Training and integrating disease prediction or recommendation models with limited, clean medical datasets.
Deployment Issues – Handling server errors, environment mismatches (like Node.js + Python services), and Render/Vercel deployment limitations.
User Experience Balance – Making the app intuitive for patients while still offering advanced features for doctors and pathlabs.
Third-Party API Dependencies – Reliance on APIs (e.g., for maps, payments, or email/notifications) sometimes caused downtime or errors.
Testing Across Roles – Ensuring all three roles (Patient, Doctor, Pathlab) work seamlessly together without breaking each other’s workflows.
