Challenges we ran into
During development, we faced a key issue while integrating the MediBot AI Chatbot. The app showed a repeated "Something went wrong" error due to malformed API requests, missing or expired API keys, and untrimmed message lists sent to the ChatGPT API. The error lacked clarity, making it harder to debug initially. We resolved it by improving error logging, validating inputs, and securely updating the API key. This hurdle highlighted the importance of handling API edge cases, especially in AI-powered features, and improved the app’s reliability.
