The problem MediLink solves
In today's fragmented healthcare system, patients often face significant challenges when navigating through various services such as finding the right doctors, booking appointments, and locating nearby pharmacies. This disjointed experience leads to inefficiencies, increased stress, and delays in receiving timely medical care. Additionally, the repetitive nature of filling out personal information for every healthcare interaction adds to the frustration, making the process cumbersome. Furthermore, the lack of proactive health management tools leaves patients with limited understanding and insight into their health conditions.
Challenges we ran into

Backend Integration: Seamlessly integrating multiple backend services, such as appointment scheduling, pharmacy inventories, and user accounts, was quite complex and required robust API design and team communication.

User Experience Design: Creating an intuitive and user-friendly interface that caters to both patients and providers while balancing functionality with simplicity was kind of hard.

Mapping and Geolocation Accuracy: Accurately displaying nearby pharmacies and healthcare providers requires precise geolocation data and reliable mapping technology, and implementing the new OLA Maps system was challenging.

Cross-platform Compatibility: Ensuring the platform works seamlessly across different devices and operating systems to provide a consistent user experience by working on responsiveness was tiring.
