Challenges We Ran Into
Building a decentralized healthcare consultation system came with several technical hurdles. Some of the major challenges we faced included:
1️⃣ API Integration Issues
Connecting our LangChain chatbot, doctor authentication system, and patient data storage required integrating multiple APIs.
Faced CORS issues and inconsistent responses while fetching data.
Solution: Implemented proper backend CORS handling, optimized API request handling, and used retry mechanisms for better reliability.
2️⃣ Smart Contract Development & Deployment
Writing and deploying secure smart contracts for doctor verification, patient records, and transactions was complex.
Faced gas optimization issues and contract security vulnerabilities.
Solution: Used Solidity best practices, OpenZeppelin libraries, and performed thorough testing with Hardhat to ensure contract security and efficiency.
3️⃣ Web3 Wallet Connectivity
Users faced wallet connection issues when interacting with the dApp, especially on mobile.
Solution: Implemented Metamask & WalletConnect integration, ensuring smooth multi-device support.
4️⃣ Decentralized Storage for Medical Records
Storing sensitive data securely while keeping it decentralized was a challenge.
Solution: Used IPFS for encrypted storage and ensured only authorized access using ZK proofs for privacy.
Despite these hurdles, our team successfully overcame them with collaborative debugging, extensive testing, and leveraging Web3 & AI best practices!
