The problem Medico solves
The App is targeted towards Senior Citizens, who often have many Meds, and keeping a track of what Medicine to take can be very challenging for them. In our app, we store all this info (like what medicine to take and when) while the Bill is being generated by the Medical Store. Based on this data we show a notification to the user whenever it's their time to consume Medicine.
Also since all this data is stored digitally they can easily share it with Doctor on Future visits and/or with other family members.
The App will also keep track of what all Medicines they have missed/ and or taken late. This way further diagnosing will also become much easier.
Challenges we ran into
The Text detection Model was challenging at first. Especially when its the Doctor Handwriting you are trying to decode.
But it was resolved when we shifted to Teserract from Tenser Flow. The Second hurdle which still remains is storing all our data in a QR Code. It works fine when the data is not huge but storing tons of data (which will likely be generated on a very long medical bill) is still an issue. But maybe shifting all the data into a backend server and just storing the access token and key in the QR Code can solve the problem. But we are still working on that.
