Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was building trust with new users. Since we were connecting users with mechanics they didn’t know, concerns about service quality, pricing transparency, and safety were frequently raised. In the early stages, some users were hesitant to rely on the platform, worried about getting overcharged or receiving subpar service.
How We Solved It:
Standardized Pricing Guidelines: To tackle pricing concerns, we introduced upfront cost estimates based on the service type and location. This provided users with an idea of how much they could expect to pay, minimizing surprises.
Mechanic Verification Process: Every mechanic on the platform went through a rigorous vetting and background verification process to ensure they were licensed, skilled, and trustworthy. This was highlighted to users to build confidence.
