The problem Maya Anukarnam solves
Have you ever wanted to become the Zack King Magician?? Have you ever wished you could bring any object from the real world into your computer with just a simple gesture? Imagine if you could pick up a flower, a book, or even a coffee mug and drop it into your desktop as a digital sticker.
How cool, time saving and productive would that be, especially when you’re someone who does not wanna get involve in the hassle of graphics work!
Also, when you're in the open space, far away from your device and don't want to go through the hassle of operating the device manually, you might think of an easy to use alternative where you can simply operate the slides from the distant without losing your temper!
Bridging the gap between physical and digital realms is challenging. Our solution simplifies this process, allowing users to integrate real-world objects into digital spaces effortlessly. This innovation transforms how people interact with Augmented Reality, enhancing creativity and user experience.
Here is our proposed solution:
- Our project “Maya Anukarnam”, which means replication through Augmented Reality, is an application that uses a webcam and a hand gesture recognition system to capture any object in front of the camera and transform it into a sticker that you can use in your documents, presentations, or social media posts.
- But that’s not all. Maya Ankuranam also lets you create amazing AR-powered presentations that you can control with your fingers like a magic wand. You can change your slides, add objects, and save your presentation with just a flick of your wrist.
- You can also share your presentation with your audience and let them interact with the objects in real time.
- With this application, users can augment their surroundings, fostering creativity, collaboration, and interactive experiences like never before.
Challenges we ran into
While building this project, we faced many challenges, some of them were:
- Building a realtime Application from scratch.
- learning and implementing SIFT Algorithm for getting the pointer location using just device camera.
- while deploying project on Cloud, we discovered 10 different ways to avoid while deploying on cloud in a hackathon.
- Integrating multiple microservices in the application
- Implementing research papers for real world projects
- Developing a project that is independent of ChatGPT or any other kind of APIs whatsoever
