The problem Mathateria solves
Mathateria addresses the challenge of limited access to quality math education. It provides user-friendly, accurate tools for free, eliminating barriers and making math learning simpler. Whether mastering algebra, understanding arithmetic, or utilizing intuitive tools, Mathateria empowers individuals to easily enhance their math skills, fostering a more accessible world of mathematical knowledge for all.
Challenges we ran into
Overcoming the challenge of displaying complex mathematical expressions posed a significant hurdle in Mathateria's development. When administrators needed to present content involving integrations, derivatives, matrices, and intricate formatting, we devised a solution. By leveraging KaTeX and allowing limited HTML, we crafted an algorithm that not only rendered mathematical expressions effectively but also addressed visibility barriers. Considering code readability and visual clarity, we successfully created tools that provide step-wise solutions, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive learning experience for our users
