Challenges we ran into

Challenges We Ran Into

While building the Mate-AI frontend, we encountered a few challenges that pushed us to find effective solutions:

  • Responsive Design with Tailwind CSS:
    Creating a seamless, responsive design using Tailwind CSS for various screen sizes was a bit tricky at first. Ensuring that every element behaved consistently across different devices required extra attention.
    Solution: We utilized Tailwind's grid and flex utilities extensively, fine-tuning the responsive breakpoints and testing on multiple devices to ensure a smooth experience.

  • Integrating JavaScript for Interactivity:
    Adding interactivity with JavaScript, like handling form inputs and triggering dynamic content, led to some issues with event handling and performance.
    Solution: We refactored the JavaScript code, optimized event listeners, and made sure to use asynchronous functions where necessary to improve the overall performance.

These challenges helped us improve the frontend's responsiveness and interactivity, preparing us for a seamless integration with the backend and AI systems.
