The problem Martian-Bistro solves

Limited Resource Problem - We have created a menu that utilizes locally grown ingredients and sustainable farming practices. reducing our reliance on imported goods and supports the development of a self-sufficient Martian colony.

Scarcity of human labor - Implemented automation technology for smooth restaurant operations reducing the need for manual labor.

Lack of a reliable payment system and Secure food delivery - A secure payment system using 2 Factor Auth with google sign in. Customers can make cashless transactions using our UPay system, which generates a QR code and order ID for secure food pickup.

The need for nutritional information and transparency in food sourcing - A feature where customers can click on a menu item to view its nutritional information and origin.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating the ordered items to the system led us to to spend a significant time debugging the code.

We also needed a way to generate a unique QR code for each order that would allow the admin to verify the customer's order ID which required us to develop an API.

Over excitement didn’t allow us to sleep for the whole 24 hours and still counting.
