Your Ally in Every Light!

The problem Maitrī solves

Our project "Maitrī-a virtual guide" is an assistance app for visually impaired people in their day-to-day life. "Maitrī" goes beyond conventional assistance apps for the visually impaired by incorporating real-time analysis into its array of capabilities. This application not only captures and processes images but does so instantaneously, providing invaluable real-time feedback to users. Its ability to conduct on-the-fly analysis enhances its utility in various real-world scenarios, such as navigating unfamiliar environments, reading signs, and recognizing objects and potential threats in real time. By seamlessly integrating real-time functionality, "Maitrī" emerges as a transformative tool, not just aiding the visually impaired but doing so with speed and precision, significantly impacting their daily lives with prompt and accurate assistance.
Extending its utility to reading text from images through its robust Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality. This feature allows users to extract textual information from images in real time, converting it into audible content. Whether it's perusing a menu, deciphering product labels, or accessing printed information, "Maitrī" empowers individuals with visual challenges by providing instant and accurate text-to-speech conversion.
