The theme we have chosen to work on is Health and Wellness. Motherhood is a blissful experience but also challenging. Our web app aims to solve the issues women face during the trying time of pregnancy. We aim to develop a one-stop solution for all pregnancy-related queries and problems. Our portal strives to provide all kinds of services such as BP Tracker, Blood Sugar Tracker, Report Storage, Appointment Scheduling, finding hospitals, doctors, therapists, nanny, and medical stores near you. Our application will also provide the necessary information regarding pregnancy, do's and don'ts during/before pregnancy, and make the whole journey a little easier for the prospective mother. Users can also download or view their entire medical history that has been stored in our system and can be very useful in case of emergencies or in the absence of actual reports. The web-app also has an automated chatbot that helps conclude if your symptoms and severe or can be solved by simple home remedies. It also allows you to schedule appointments. The web app provides users with the functionality to add reminders for appointments, medicines, vaccines and any important events which are notified through email. The user can also add regular test reports for Blood Pressure, Sugar and upload custom reports. The user will be provided with a pdf containing all of their medical histories at one click along with graphs to view the variations in results. The web-app can be viewed in multiple languages including regional languages such as Kannada, Hindi and Punjabi among others.
The future scope of the web-app includes the addition of a doctor portal so that reminders can be sent to both the doctor and patient. Any custom tips can directly be added by the concerned doctor. Furthermore, the web app can be improved to alert nearest hospitals and welfare centres in case of emergencies. Nannies can be registered to improve employment and make finding suitable nannies near the user easier.
We were making graphs using matplotlib, a python library, but weren't able to display it on the website. Our mentor guided us about chart.js and we have used it to display graphs of BP monitoring, Sugar monitoring on our website.
