Why are you participating for Based Africa?
We are participating because we want to use onchain tools to help add better the lives of our friends, family, and the world at large, while building cool stuff at the same time
What challenges are you focusing on?
We are focusing on the lack of adequate education about onchain tools and the onchain economy in general. Most people tend to avoid what they know little about and in most cases rumors they may have heard about those things give them a bad view in their eyes. As a team we're trying to eradicate this in whatever way we can, one educated mind at a time
How does your submission address this challenge?
We provide resources on various aspects of blockchain technology, from the basics to advanced topics and we provide them in various formats to cater for the different learning styles africans have, We have visual content, text, audio and video content. We also have content in slide format for presentation media. We also plan to translate oour courses into various languages to cater for the massive language difference in Africa. Also we plan to incentivize peopl to join the platform by provideing them with welcome nfts and nft certificates after completing courses. We also plan if things are favourable to launch a token to appreciate those you sign up to our dapp in the long term
Challenges we ran into
We encountered various challenges while using the onchainkit template, they were centered around wallet connection, Smart contract integration TailwindCSS integrations and many more.
We overcame these challenges by coming together and consulting various bodies of information who are experts on these topics. We also participated in a couple of the workshops and AMAs organized by the Base team which played a great role in helping us complete our project.
