The problem Lumi - Pray to Give, Unite to build solves

$500 billion is donated annually in the US every year, and the No.1 contribution comes from Christians all the time. However, centralized donor agencies have such problems:

• High commission fee;
• Low efficiency in dissemination:
  No solidarity or scale spread effect because donors participate as individuals;
  No follow-up or feedback because beneficiaries have no incentive;
  -Centralized power:
  Only the agency decides what to donate.
  Usually, minorities are silenced by community pressure. It's hard for them to get organized and decide how they want to donate.
  -Only focus on how much money is raised：
  Only the rich can get highly involved, but people without extra money cannot contribute. So special groups are difficult to be taken care of. The diversity of participation and subsequent impact are disregarded.

Lumi is a new way to make people find their spiritual community and unite to build their ideal world.

Challenges I ran into

It’s not easy to do fund raising. VCs think we are crazy. No one understands what we are really trying to realize. It’s not only about mass adoption. It’s more about building a ‘digital country’ based on non-financial consensus, based on love, faith and hope.
We didn’t give up. We tried every possible way. Thank God, we are getting more and more powerful supporters.
