Individuals are often unable to efficiently find and access hyperlocal service providers such as tailors, fruit vendors, barbers etc. resulting in wasted time and disappointment. These personal care providers often lack information about their availability, making it difficult for customers to plan their visits and access the services they need. This results in an inefficient and unsatisfactory process for both customers and service providers, and a lack of trust in the hyperlocal service market.
The goal is to create a solution that allows customers to easily access real-time information about the availability of local service providers, thus reducing wasted time and disappointment.
We considered offering small sellers and service providers a hardware GPS gadget equipped with a voice assistant (like the one Paytm provides). They would need to activate a button when the shop/service opens and deactivate it when it closes, allowing us to update the real-time location on our app. It would also have a voice assistant to facilitate communication between the two parties without the need for a phone call.
