Life of Duckie
Mini-app game
The problem Life of Duckie solves
Humanity was suffering from a lack of duck-based existential crises.
Now players can ponder life’s big questions, like:
"Should my duck get a job or just steal fries at the park?"
"Start an OnlyWings account"
"Become a professional "quackestor"
"Fake its own death for insurance bread"
"Invent duck NFTs ("Non-Fungible Tweets")"
My game blends "smart" fun clicker with absurd events, where every decision leads to hilarious. The real goal? Make people laugh and enjoy. Random events, mini-games, garden, and duck-themed life lessons.
Challenges I ran into
I don't know how to code.
I've been dreaming of creating a game for a long time, but the idea came to me completely spontaneously.
It was very difficult for me to start - I lacked advice, I tried so many different tools and AI.
I started writing about development and sharing my thoughts about the process (the main thread )
As I was creating this app the main problems were -
- I broke the code several times and started over.
- I really wanted support and advice, but I never got it. (problem not solved)
- integration with farcaster (solved)
- Adding content in the future and supporting the game. (problem not solved)
- Optimisation for different devices. (solved)
I've accomplished a lot in a month, scary but I'm building.
UPD:I was able to do farcaster integration(preview thing), but now there are difficulties - authorization via farcaster, leaderboard, I overloaded the code and am fully aware of it. databases, different languages in comments in the code, as I used English, Russian, Bulgarian when communicating with AI ( may be a problem in the future)
I think if I were to start creating everything from 0 now I would create with Mini-kit, not by myself....
