The problem legal encryption 2.0 solves

As IPFS is open and accessible to anyone with the hash of the file, they can retrieve it from IPFS. So sensitive files are not well suited for IPFS in their native states. Unless we do something to these files, sharing sensitive files like health records, legal documents or images is a poor fit for IPFS.

Luckily, we have tools that pair very nicely with IPFS to secure files before uploading them to IPFS. Enter Kavach, an Encryption SDK created by the Lighthouse team that allows you to build trustless, decentralized, and fault-tolerant Applications using distributed key shards with threshold cryptography.

Files uploaded are recorded on the blockchain via Shardeum, an EVM-based, linearly scalable smart contract platform that provides low gas fees forever while maintaining true decentralization and solid security through dynamic state sharding.

An escrow to facilitate the buy and sell market which is coded in solidity and uploaded to Shardeum Network.

The app is hosted on the Replit platform.

Challenges we ran into

Encryption technology to encrypt files which are being uploaded to the public network. Unable to pass dynamic arguments to the smart contract and multicall support to the network. Hacking into the Dataverse codebase to figure out how things work.
