Everything nowadays is getting digitalised, its a great thing taking the technical aspect. But the conventional methods of tutoring and learning is disappearing which is very crucial for kids, beginners and to many others. We here introduce LearnUp, which lets the local teachers register them on our app and give their location of their tutoring place. Students nearby, who are in search of learning or some vocational training, can set their comfortable radius and search with the teachers they are willing to join. LearnUp lets them register and sends a request to the teacher. Teacher on the other side, can review the profile of the students and accept or decline their request. We use google maps api, for seggregating according to location, google calendar to markup dates and keep them updated and call for google meet in one click, gemini ai, for making mental health chatbot and doubt solving bot. LearnUp encourages struggling teachers to establish them without marketting and give them a comfortable platform. We accept the teachers only after properly reviewing their education and specialisation. Students also can learn more and grow more by learning and make the most of the nearby tutorings. It makes a close knit community which learns and grows together. Also, for the students, facing mental problems, we have created a mental health chatbot which helps them go to their phases and connect to the people and helpline that may help taking in consideration how rapidly mental health problems are growing these days.
We faced alot of problem in integrating google calendar api. We figured out the most of everything, but we couldnt make its UI better as no time was left. Most of the libraries of React we referred where outdated and didn't seem to be getting along with version. We also worked and calculated alot to make the maps radius show everything around the radius of the distance selected in the drag input. It was a tedious process as we had to configure taking every mobile and desktop width in consideration. Thankfully we had worked on the maps before, so I had the maps api key, which really made the map integration so easy.
