The problem LearnIt solves
In today’s fast-moving digital learning and remote communication era, keeping people engaged while testing or teaching knowledge is a serious challenge. Traditional quiz platforms are often clunky, require extensive setup, and don’t prioritize real-time interaction. Many existing tools are outdated, unresponsive, or just plain boring.
LearnIt directly tackles these pain points by offering a fun, lightweight, and interactive platform that performs seamlessly across devices and user groups. Here's how LearnIt makes life easier:

In short, LearnIt removes the complexity of old-school quiz tools and brings a playful, engaging edge to how we learn and compete.
Challenges we ran into
While building LearnIt, we encountered several technical challenges that pushed us to innovate beyond our initial scope. Integrating Unity with the Vuforia SDK for AR features was particularly tough — we faced frequent crashes, version conflicts, and inconsistent marker detection across devices, forcing us to rebuild scenes and fine-tune configurations repeatedly. Hosting on Vercel also posed issues; environment variables often failed to load properly, and cold starts on serverless functions affected quiz performance. On the AI side, our ML model for behavior tracking initially lacked accuracy, especially in real-world conditions, due to overfitting and limited training data. We tackled this with data augmentation, dropout layers, and cross-validation techniques. Lastly, fine-tuning Google’s Gemini API for quiz generation was harder than expected — early results were either too generic or misaligned with the quiz context. After multiple iterations of prompt engineering and structured inputs, we achieved relevant, topic-aware question generation. Each challenge shaped LearnIt into a more robust, scalable, and intelligent platform.
