The problem League Fund solves

Fantasy Sports accounting isn’t easy, your commissioner has to chase you down for League dues, then keep track of them, and try not to accidentally spend them

User Interaction and Data Flow

The on-chain side of the application allows Commissioners to create League contracts through the League Factory. They can then invite other participants to join that League. Teams can join Leagues by paying the required Dues. The Commissioner and Treasurers selected by the Commissioner can manage the Dues paid by all the Teams.

Treasurers will be able to invest the Dues that are available in the League contract, using curated Vaults. We have developed a special wrapper for existing ERC4626 vaults, which would allow for easy integration with any yield source that is using this standard. The Treasurers are able to deposit into and withdraw from the Vaults that are made available by League Fund. This allows the League to earn yield on the Dues for the duration of the season.

At any time, the Commissioner can allocate rewards to active Teams. They do so by selecting the Team, setting a Reward Name and a Reward Amount. Our app will then send out a notification to the receiver of the Reward, who will in turn be able to mint this Reward. Not only will that Team receive the allocated amount of USDC, they will also be able to mint a customised NFT, which will contain the names of the League, Reward and Team, and an Image the Team can generate themselves at the time of minting.

At the end of the Season, the Commissioner is able to create a new Season, requiring all Teams to pay their Dues again to become active in the League. The Commissioner also has the ability to remove active Teams, which will return their Dues to their wallet, and the ability to completely remove the League, which will return all funds and stop any Team from joining the League in the future.

• Leveraging Sleeper API to create a very smooth onboarding process for Commissioner.
• Unique position for generating first time wallets as Fantasy Sports participates roll with the tools presented by the commissioner
• Unique oppertunitty to immortalize and custom league history with reward mint
• The Factory is also a registry of all Leagues. This allows for convenient querying of comprehensive data for the web app. League data, like active Teams, inactive Teams, pending Rewards and total Balance are easily accessible, but also data accros Leagues, like all Leagues a single user is part of, including information about their Team being active in the current Season, pending Rewards in any League, and their roles within that League like being Commissioner or Treasurer is available with a single query of a read function.

The Factory as a registry also allows our app to check Leagues for authenticity, only ever showing Leagues that are deployed through the Factory on the web-app.

Trade-offs and shortcuts while building

Our focus was on great ux to support bring on many first time users of the coinbase wallet. We leverage Web2 aspects to supplement the UX like image generation via Dalle API and invitation emails.
