The problem Lawyerd solves

Online brands today face an overwhelming volume of counterfeit sites, phishing scams, and unauthorized resellers. Traditional automated scanners generate noisy alerts and miss context, while manual takedown processes are slow and resource-intensive. Lawyerd bridges this gap by crowd-sourcing human intelligence at internet scale: anyone can spot and report a violation in a single click, earn $LAWD tokens instantly, and feed high-fidelity alerts directly to brands’ dashboards or SIEM tools. This hybrid human+automation approach drastically reduces false positives, accelerates takedown timelines, and deters future fraud through clear, token-backed incentives.

Challenges I ran into

Balancing Friction vs. Quality: Opening reporting to everyone risked low-quality submissions. We solved this by layering lightweight on-chain staking and reputation XP—easy for newcomers, but self-policing via slashing and badge-based boosts for trusted reporters.

Scalable Verification: Initially our manual review team couldn’t keep up with spikes in reports. We built an automated pre-filter using simple ML classifiers (flagging likely duplicates or benign domains) and rerouted borderline cases to our “Verifier Pool,” blending speed with accuracy.

Seamless Wallet Integration: Many users balked at complex wallet setups. We overcame this by integrating WalletConnect and providing an in-app guided flow—no external extensions required—so users of any tech comfort level can report and stake in under 60 seconds.
