Krishiblock brings the advantages of blockchain to one of the most centralized existing solutions ~ land registry.
India is the second-largest population and the seventh-largest territory in the world. India is an agriculture-based economy, and agriculture land record keeping is a mammoth transnational activity with mostly manual and non-digital processes. There are many challenges related to agricultural land transactions such as digitization of records and keeping the agricultural-land ledger immutable and secure. KrishiBlock aims to solve these challenges in an efficient manner this will help handle the increasing agricultural-land litigation cases, reducing corruption, and improving the quality of farm owner’s life.
Some Technologies we used to make it better -
LightHouse/IPFS - For encrypting and perpetually storing user data on IPFS.
SuperFluids - For integrating a rent payment section on our application.
FVM/Mantle - For deploying contracts.
Arcana - For implementing auth.
Here are a few challanges we ran into :
Defining Admin roles according to Indian Land Registry Governanece - In a decentralized land registry system, there needs to be a clear definition of roles and responsibilities for administrators. The administrator role may include responsibilities such as verifying users and lands, transfering ownership and ensuring data consistency.
Securing User Data - Land Record though public have a lot of vulnarable data assosiated with them, such as Government IDs, we had to ensure that these were not revealed to the general public and only to the administrators. This was tackled by implementing encypted perpetual storage using LightHouse.
