Krishi Bimb

FARMER TO BUYER - In a snap “एक चुटकी में किसान से खरीदार !!!” We planned to connect farmers and buyers across the country so that we can have uniform price and uniform system across the country.

The problem Krishi Bimb solves

Started with a vision to connect Farmers and the Buyers across the country, “Krishi Bimb” intends to play a major role in crafting the future of Agriculture sector from the business point of view.

Driven by the idea of “Aatmanirbhar Modern Bharat”, that is self sufficient modern India as a central theme.

We are providing an all India platform to the farmers so that they can sell their crops through this website and we are providing the buyers or traders the opportunity to buy crops from anywhere around the country. We have generally seen that the farmers and buyers are not connected in the market so our main intention is to create a portal through which the buyer and the seller can connect and both can be benefited in this transaction. It makes the process much easier by connecting the farmers directly to the buyers across the country.

The farmers can approach their unions or they can themselves log in the website. After logging onto the website if they want to sell their crop they can go to the sellers page. In the sellers page they would have to mention in the required details such as name, address, location of the farm, type of crop and their Aadhaar card number. Our admin will have a look at the crops and would analyze the crops , take pictures and upload it on the website. The crop then go on for the bidding on the website at a particular time after the analysis. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning can be used for crop analysis. The farmer gets to sell the crop to the highest bidder. Similarly, the buyer will get the information of the crops that the farmer is going to sell and could easily buy the crops from him. We will also use refund policies to tackle malpractices.

With the new age farming techniques we have to make sure that the selling and buying of these crops also gets a modern touch and is efficient. With this we will be facilitating e-trading as well.

Challenges we ran into

There were difficulties in replicating the UI/UX design in frontend of the web page. We also faced difficulties in the positioning and allignment of the frontend of the webpage. Implementing the bidding process in backend was an issue that we faced. We also faced problems in deploying the site in Heroku.
